Gold/Silver Ratio
How many ounces of silver it takes to buy one ounce of gold, right now.
The ratio tells you how gold and silver are performing relative to each other, not just in absolute price. A rising ratio means gold is outperforming silver (or silver is falling faster); a falling ratio means the opposite. Over the last few decades the ratio has broadly traded in a wide band roughly between the 50s and 100s, with readings toward the high end sometimes read as silver being "cheap" relative to gold, and vice versa toward the low end — though the range itself has shifted over long periods, so treat this as context, not a fixed rule.
