Why GDI
Built by a gold trader, on a small real account.
I trade XAU/USD every day. Everything on this site is a tool I first built for my own trading: a live read of the market, a real account you can watch, and software that keeps my own copy trading disciplined. Here is why it exists and what it does behind the scenes.
Why me
I am an independent gold trader, not a signal factory. The GDI Signal is my own real account at IC Markets, started with 100 US dollars, and everything you see is from that account. The system was built on a small account because that is where discipline matters most: small risk per order, quick exits and a global stop. It works for any account size, because the lot size is adjustable in the app.
You can check the same account independently on Myfxbook and on my MQL5 seller page. I show my numbers as they are, including the bad days.
Why the GDI Key
One key opens everything I build: the GDI Signal copier, every MT5 tool and every future GDI Expert Advisor. No tiers and no add-ons. There is a 7-day free trial on every new key. Card required at checkout. Cancel during the 7 days and you pay nothing. If you keep it, the first payment is taken on day 7 and your key simply stays active.
Why the GDI Signal
It is a real account, traded live, with many short trades a day and quick exits. You can follow it with your own MT5 account through the Signal Copier. It is shown for information and education. Copying it means copying decisions I actually make: no result is promised, and past results do not guarantee future ones.
What runs behind the scenes
When my account opens an order, your copier does not simply repeat it. It asks a short list of questions first. Each one can be switched on or off in the Signal Copier inputs:
- How many orders at once. Orders in the same direction that open within a short window can be merged into one copy.
- Direction. A new copy that would oppose a position you already hold on gold is refused.
- The site filter. The copier reads my market bias on three timeframes (M15, H1, H4) and only copies when it agrees with the order's direction.
- News and market hours. New copies pause during a high-impact news window and while the market is closed.
- The GDI Bot's final say. A permission from the GDI Bot says both sides, buy only, sell only or pause. You decide whether your copier follows it.
- Loss limits. You can set a daily and a total loss limit that stops new copies.
These checks apply to new copies only. They never close a position that is already open.
Alongside the copier I use three EAs every day, and they are available to key holders: the Risk Management EA (limits session and daily loss), the Equity Management EA and the Market Assistant. More trading EAs are being tested and will arrive under the same key.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a big account to use the GDI Signal?
- No. I built the system on a small real account, for small traders. The lot size is adjustable in the app, so it works for any account size.
- Is the GDI Bot a trained model?
- No. The GDI Bot is an AI assistant that I configured with my own rules and prompts. It reads my live data and answers one question every few minutes: should new copies be allowed on both sides, buy only, sell only, or paused.
- Does the GDI Bot trade for me?
- No. It never places or closes a trade. It only gives a permission that your copier can follow. Whether your copier follows it is your choice.
- Can I turn the GDI Bot filter off?
- Yes. It is an input on the Signal Copier. The power is in your hands: you choose which checks to use.
- Does this promise a profit?
- No. Trading gold carries a high level of risk. The GDI Signal is shown for educational purposes from my own real IC Markets account, and past results do not guarantee future ones.
- How does the free trial work?
- Card required at checkout. Cancel during the 7 days and you pay nothing. If you keep it, the first payment is taken on day 7 and your key simply stays active.
Gold is volatile and trading it carries a high level of risk. Nothing here is financial advice.
