Hi, I'm Donaldson. I am an independent retail trader based in the UK, and this site is my daily journal: a mix of my XAU/USD market analysis, the mechanics behind the gold market, and the history of the metal I trade. I write it as I trade it, around the London and New York opens, rather than looking back on it after the fact.

For years my professional life has revolved around IT infrastructure, working as an independent server consultant. That background gives me a practical edge at the charts: it taught me to follow rules strictly, manage risk properly, and build systems that hold up under pressure, which is the same mindset I bring to coding my own MQL5 tools and executing trades on MetaTrader 5.

Trading gold online gives me the flexibility to pack my laptop, open my charts from anywhere, and still be looking at the exact same market. Wherever I am, the only language that matters on the charts is price action.

I do not maintain active social media profiles. Instead, I put that time into executing trades, documenting my routines here, and sharing my daily market breakdowns on YouTube. Whether you are a seasoned trader or just starting out with a micro account, I invite you to follow along.
